Clarinetist Christopher Bade is Professor of Music at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana where he conducts the TU Symphony Orchestra and TU Wind Ensemble, and teaches clarinet, saxophone and music history courses. He also serves as Music Director of the Columbus Indiana Symphony. Bade has performed throughout the Midwest as well as in Hungary, Romania, and Ireland. He serves as Section Clarinet in Orchestra Indiana after having been Principal Clarinet in the Marion Philharmonic for 18 years. He has been a clarinet soloist with Orchestra Indiana, Marion Philharmonic, and Alliance Symphony Orchestras. Bade plays and records in the Upland Trio with Josh Aerie, cello, and Greg Kostraba, piano. He is active as a clinician (orchestra, wind band, and clarinet) and adjudicator throughout the Midwest. Bade earned degrees from Illinois Wesleyan University (BME, cum Laude), the University of Akron (MM), and the University of Illinois (DMA).
